Volleyball Game Preview: Norland Vikings vs. Homestead Broncos

The Norland Vikings will take on the Homestead Broncos at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Norland came up short against Hialeah Gardens and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Gladiators: they've now lost three in a row.

Norland started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-14.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Homestead's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Ransom Everglades. While the Broncos didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 25-17 in the first set.

Homestead started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-22.

Norland's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Homestead, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Norland couldn't quite get it done against Homestead when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
