Soccer Recap: Portal's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

Portal and Lake Oconee Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Portal had to settle for second. They came up short against the Titans, falling 5-1. Having soared to a lofty nine goals in the game before, Portal couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Colby Stewart, who's now up to 43 this season.

Portal moved to 14-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Lake Oconee Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Portal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they will square off against Trion on Thursday. Trion will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lake Oconee Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
