Basketball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Baboquivari's Winning Streak

After flying high against Valley Union last Wednesday, Baboquivari came back down to earth. The Baboquivari Warriors fell 56-47 to the St. David Tigers on Thursday. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Baboquivari lost, don't look at Cade Widener. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 14 en route to 18 points and five boards. The match was Widener's 22nd in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezekiel Hendricks, who posted five points.

Baboquivari's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-9. As for St. David, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-13.
