Basketball Recap: Nodaway Valley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Diagonal last Friday, Nodaway Valley came back down to earth. The Nodaway Valley Wolverines had to suffer through an 81-29 loss at the hands of the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Crusaders are ranked 76th).

Nodaway Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Coon Rapids-Bayard, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season.

Nodaway Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coon Rapids-Bayard, they will welcome Stanton on Thursday.
