It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rocky Bayou Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Altha Wildcats 4-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 on March 6th.

Alex Strunk looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trand Scott was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Rocky Bayou Christian now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Altha, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rocky Bayou Christian will face off against Baker at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Altha, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Altha Wildcats face off against L.E.A.D. Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Their pitchers better be ready for this one: L.E.A.D. Academy has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
