Basketball Recap: West Point Takes a Loss

West Point was the 56-53 winner over Clarksdale when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The West Point Green Wave fell 56-43 to the Clarksdale Wildcats on Friday. The Green Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Point's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Clarksdale, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

West Point and Okolona will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Okolona knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully West Point likes a good challenge. Clarksdale has already played their next contest (against Pontotoc), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
