La Crescent put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Rushford-Peterson Trojans with a sharp 8-2 victory. That six run margin sets a new team best for the Lancers this season.

La Crescent's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.2 runs across that stretch. As for Rushford-Peterson, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Crescent will venture away from home to face off against Dover-Eyota at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rushford-Peterson, they will head out to take on Lyle/Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Athletics' pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
