Basketball Recap: Lovell Comes Up Short

Lovell had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Pinedale Wranglers on Friday, falling 72-51. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 68-35 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Elyn Bowers was a one-woman wrecking crew for Pinedale as she went 11 for 15 on her way to 31 points and four steals. Bowers' afternoon made it 17 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyxis White, who posted 14 points and eight rebounds.

Pinedale's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coincidentally, Lovell and Pinedale will both be playing Newcastle the next time they take the court. Lovell will host Newcastle at 11:30 p.m. on Friday, while Pinedale will head out to face them at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
