Newton-Conover has gone 10-0 against Lincolnton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Newton-Conover Red Devils will be home for the holidays to greet the Lincolnton Wolves at 6:00 p.m.

Newton-Conover is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Alexander Central just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The contest marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Hadleigh Swagger, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mira Sigmon, who posted nine points and four steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincolnton). They took down Bunker Hill 70-56 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Newton-Conover fell to 5-1. As for Lincolnton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
