Basketball Game Preview: Chatham Charter Knights vs. Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles + How To Watch

Chatham Charter is 2-8 against Uwharrie Charter Academy since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Knights will head out to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Chatham Charter turned things around against Cornerstone Charter on Tuesday. They walked away with a 29-19 win over the Cardinals. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since January 22, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Chatham Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kynzie Jordan, who posted six points in addition to six boards and six steals. With that strong performance, Jordan is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Peyton York, who had eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Uwharrie Charter Academy really took it to Union Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-27 win. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Uwharrie Charter Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Chatham Charter, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Chatham Charter might still be hurting after the 53-28 defeat they got from Uwharrie Charter Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 34-11.
