Soccer Recap: Sanderson Comes Up Short

Sanderson lost against Cardinal Gibbons back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans came up short against the Crusaders, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Sanderson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Cardinal Gibbons are ranked 13th).

Sanderson's goal came courtesy of Lindsay Kinlaw, who's now up to 24 this season.

Sanderson's loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Sanderson nor Cardinal Gibbons have any future games scheduled.
