Softball Game Preview: Southwind Jaguars vs. Craigmont Chiefs

The Southwind Jaguars will take on the Craigmont Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southwind will be strutting in after a win while Craigmont will be coming in after a loss.

Southwind took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Overton 12-3. The high-scoring effort was just what the Jaguars needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Meanwhile, Craigmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Cordova, falling 21-5. On the bright side, the five- run performance marked the Chiefs' highest-scoring game to date.

Southwind's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Craigmont, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
