Volleyball Recap: EMMA LYON and ALAINA CASTRONOVO Secure Win for Escondido Charter

There's no place like home for Escondido Charter, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Escondido Charter never let St. Joseph Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-22.

They weren't the only good servers: Escondido Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. They are 13-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Escondido Charter's record now sits at 17-8. As for St. Joseph Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Escondido Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Foothills Christian on the 3rd.
