Recap: Liberty Panthers vs. Livingston Lions

The Liberty Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. The contest between Liberty and Livingston wasn't particularly close, with Liberty falling 61-45. If Liberty hoped to take revenge for the 81-60 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.

Jayden Randolph continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Livingston, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Randolph has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ziekus Garner, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Liberty has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-20 record this season. As for Livingston, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

Liberty will head out on the road to take on Hardin-Jefferson at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hardin-Jefferson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Liberty in Texas (Hardin-Jefferson is ranked 525th, while Liberty is ranked 1147th). As for Livingston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Splendora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Splendora focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
