Volleyball Recap: Altamont Comes Up Short on the Road Against Maeser Prep Academy

Altamont kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Maeser Prep Academy Lions.

While Altamont ultimately came up short, they really made Maeser Prep Academy work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 28-26, 23-25, 25-15.

Altamont's offense was headlined by Jada Miles and Kate Lindsay, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Lauren Thacker and her 22 assists. Lindsay also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hazlie Bagley, racking up five apiece.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altamont will venture away from home to take on Pinnacle at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Maeser Prep Academy, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
