Soccer Game Preview: Gibbs vs. Grainger

The Gibbs Eagles will head out to challenge the Grainger Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Gibbs will be strutting in after a win while Grainger will be coming in after a loss.

Gibbs' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Scott 3-0. The victory continues a trend for Gibbs in their matchups with Scott: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Grainger was a bit more limited in their contest last Thursday. They fell just short of Morristown-Hamblen East by a score of 1-0. Grainger haven't had much luck with Morristown-Hamblen East recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Gibbs' win bumped their record up to 6-1-2. As for Grainger, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1.

Gibbs took their victory against Grainger in their previous matchup back in September of 2021 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
