Football Preview: Hatton Hornets vs. West Limestone Wildcats
The Hatton Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the West Limestone Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hatton will be strutting in after a victory while West Limestone will be coming in after a loss.
Hatton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Westminster Christian Academy 48-12. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Hornets had established a 23-point advantage.

Savarius Evans and Tasean Love were among the main playmakers for Hatton as the former rushed for 167 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries and the latter threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. Evans' longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Aryine Cooper also helped out with an impressive 96 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hatton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 265 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 163 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Hatton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for West Limestone, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Hatton was able to grind out a solid win over West Limestone in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 28-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
