Football Recap: Buena Vista Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Buena Vista's offense. They had to suffer through a 78-0 loss at the hands of the Bellevue West Thunderbirds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bison of the 62-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Will Anderson was his usual excellent self, throwing for 256 yards and six TDs on perfect 9-for-9 passing for Bellevue West. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Bryce Johnson Jr also helped out with an impressive 87 receiving yards.

Buena Vista's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bellevue West, their record is now 2-3.

Buena Vista wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 60-0 defeat against Omaha North on the 3rd. As for Bellevue West, they have also already played their next matchup, a 65-0 victory against South Sioux City on the 3rd.
