Football Recap: Alliance Bulldogs vs. Chadron Cardinals

Alliance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Chadron Cardinals, falling 54-12. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 16th).

Although Alliance took the loss, they still got scores from Jory Matulka and Caysen Robertson.

It was another big night for Quinn Bailey, who rushed for 222 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per carry for Chadron. Bailey showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 60 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Davidson, who rushed for 105 yards on only nine carries.

As for Chadron, they are taking a road trip to challenge Gering at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chadron knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Gering likes a good challenge.
