Soccer Game Preview: International vs. Archbishop Hannan

International is 0-3 against Archbishop Hannan since January of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The International Panthers will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Archbishop Hannan Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

It was a proper cat-fight when International took on Slidell on Friday. Neither International nor Slidell could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Hannan fell victim to Newman and their airtight defense on Thursday. They fell just short of the Greenies by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Greenies are ranked 14th).

Archbishop Hannan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-3. With that draw, International's record moves to 1-2-2.

International might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Archbishop Hannan in their previous meeting back in January of 2020. Can International avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
