Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Bulls vs. Del Sol Dragons
The Sports Leadership & Management Bulls were the 43-42 winner over the Del Sol Dragons when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Sports Leadership & Management took a serious blow against Del Sol on Friday, falling 76-34. While losing is never fun, Sports Leadership & Management can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Del Sol is ranked 13th).
Del Sol was led to victory by Jocelyn Coleman and Ricana Taylor. Coleman scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals, while Taylor dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. Taylor is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chanel King, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Sports Leadership & Management has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Del Sol, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Sports Leadership & Management will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. Del Sol won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Boulder City at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Boulder City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
