A-8 South - Arkansas Valley (8 Man) recap Oct. 9, 2012

Walsh extended the longest winning streak in A-8 South - Arkansas Valley (8 Man) this week by beating Cheyenne Wells, 51-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Eagles.

Walsh took down the Tigers 51-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Hayden Davis and Christian Orozco gave Holly a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Davis threw for 113 yards and two touchdowns, while Orozco ran for 75 yards. Teammate Jason Barth added to the ground attack by rushing for 55 yards.

Kody Wallace was the best wideout in the league this week as Wiley lost to the Wildcats. Wallace racked up seven receptions for 61 yards. Blake Ridgeway helped Wiley's passing attack out by catching four balls for 26 yards.

Holly's Orozco and Colby Salisbury have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Orozco has thrown for 484 yards this season, while Salisbury, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 24 catches for 242 yards. Wallace from the Panthers leads the league in rushing with 521 yards.

A big matchup in A-8 South - Arkansas Valley (8 Man) this week will be when Ronny Tate's team takes on Granada. At the moment, the Eagles are in first, while the Bobcats are in third.

Scott Hodgson's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on Wiley. Davis ran for 46 yards in the win.
