Basketball Recap: Warner Comes Up Short

Warner lost against Groton back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warner Monarchs had to suffer through a 63-24 loss at the hands of the Groton Tigers. The matchup marked the Monarchs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Warner moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Groton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warner will square off against Ipswich at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Warner is facing Ipswich at the right time seeing as Ipswich is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Groton, they will take on Clark/Willow Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Groton has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 225 points over their last three contests.
