Volleyball Game Preview: Piedra Vista Panthers vs. Volcano Vista Hawks

For the first time this season, Piedra Vista will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Volcano Vista Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Piedra Vista took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Miyamura with a sharp 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-15, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Volcano Vista faced Centennial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Volcano Vista walked away with a 3-1 victory over Centennial.

Volcano Vista walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 21-25, 25-20, 25-10.

Volcano Vista's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. As for Piedra Vista, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Piedra Vista suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Volcano Vista in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
