Waynesfield-Goshen's game on Monday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-40 victory over the Calvary Christian Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-44 back in November of 2024.

Loss or not, Calvary Christian got some senior leadership from Philip Davie and Zeeke Wylie. Davie went 7-for-10 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds, while Wylie posted 12 points and five boards. Davie also set a new season-high mark in shooting accuracy with 70%.

Waynesfield-Goshen's win bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Calvary Christian, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Waynesfield-Goshen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-40 loss against Fairlawn on the 11th. As for Calvary Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-40 defeat against Urbana on the 11th.
