Baseball Recap: Omaha South Find Success

Omaha South won the last time they faced Bryan and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Packers walked away with a 13-9 victory over the Bears.

Lou Hodoly made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while going 3-for-4. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caleb Williams, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kooper Gray, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.

Omaha South was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Omaha South's record is now 4-2. As for Bryan, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
