Volleyball Recap: Mooresville's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Heritage Christian, Mooresville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Beech Grove Hornets. The win was some much needed relief for the Pioneers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

While Mooresville might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Beech Grove scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 28-26.

Brevon Burns paced Mooresville's offense, picking up ten kills. Burns got some help from Ty Stonehouse and his 12 assists.

Mooresville's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Beech Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Mooresville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Terre Haute North Vigo on the 7th. As for Beech Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against International on the 9th.
