Volleyball Recap: Manitou Springs Takes a Loss

Manitou Springs saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies.

While Manitou Springs was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Manitou Springs saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Natalie Gore had 11 assists and five digs.

Manitou Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Mesa Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Manitou Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Pueblo South on the 6th. Mesa Ridge has also already played their next game (against Discovery Canyon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
