Basketball Recap: Atchison Takes a Loss

Atchison came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 71-33 loss at the hands of the Topeka Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Phoenix of the 49-17 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Atchison now has a losing record of 7-8-1. As for Topeka, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atchison will take on Schlagle at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Topeka, they will face off against Derby at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
