Tyner Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 45-26 victory over the Marshall County Tigers.

Tyler Anderson had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 42 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 257 yards and one touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes. Those 257 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Marshall County lost, don't look at Tyler Thompson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 39 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes.

Tyner Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Marshall County, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tyner Academy will venture away from home to square off against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Blue Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Marshall County, they will head out to face off against Battle Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
