Basketball Recap: Woodmont Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

On Saturday, the Woodmont Wildcats were able to grind out a solid victory over the Crestwood Knights, taking the game 44-34.

Crestwood lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Saniya Williams, who posted 15 points and three steals. The contest was Williams' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of London Vaughn, who scored 14 points and four steals.

Woodmont is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Crestwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Woodmont will square off against Mauldin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mauldin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Crestwood, they will venture away from home to take on Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
