Volleyball Recap: Sherwood Marksmen vs. Lutheran Knights

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Osceola, Sherwood was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lutheran Knights. The Marksmen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Sherwood was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-27, 25-22.

Sherwood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lutheran only served nine.

Lutheran's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Becca Unthank, who had 11 digs.

Sherwood's win bumped their record up to 6-9-2. As for Lutheran, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Sherwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Chilhowee on the 3rd. Lutheran has also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Crest Ridge on the 3rd.
