Baldwyn has gone 6-1 against Tremont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Baldwyn Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Tremont Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

It was a proper cat-fight when Baldwyn took on Biggersville on Monday. Baldwyn fell 66-53 to Biggersville. The Bearcats have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Tremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against Tupelo Christian Prep, falling 68-28. Tremont was down 61-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Baldwyn will need focus on slowing down Andrew Curtis, one of several Tremont players who made an impact when they last played. He posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Platt, who had eight points and four blocks.

Tremont's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Baldwyn, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 14-4.

Everything came up roses for Baldwyn against Tremont in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 74-38 win. In that matchup, Baldwyn amassed a halftime lead of 44-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
