The Taconic Thunder are taking a road trip to face off against the Frontier Regional Red Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Things were looking good for Taconic after they put the first runs on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Mount Anthony by a score of 4-3. The Thunder have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Cheyann Goddard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Taconic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Duhamel, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Frontier Regional and Mount Greylock Regional, and Frontier Regional kept the tradition alive. The Red Hawks blew past the Mounties 12-5 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Hawks considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Raine Wonsey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Wonsey was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Frontier Regional got a massive performance out of Addie Ehle, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Ehle a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Delaney 'Lu' Fifield, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Frontier Regional hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mount Greylock Regional struck out seven times.
Frontier Regional pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Taconic, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Taconic came up short against Frontier Regional in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 13-9. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
