Soccer Recap: Roanoke Rapids Starts Season with Victory at Home

Roanoke Rapids gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They never let the North Johnston Panthers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Roanoke Rapids haven't had any issues with North Johnston recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Coming up, Roanoke Rapids will challenge Rabun Gap-Nacoochee at 1:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for North Johnston, they have already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against Smithfield-Selma on the 20th.
