In what's become a running theme this season, the Sunlake Seahawks gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. Everything went their way against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate as Sunlake made off with a 53-28 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-7.

Christopher Murray was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Manntavius Goodman, who scored six points along with six steals and five assists.

Sunlake has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunlake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Steinbrenner at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Steinbrenner has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14. As for Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate, they will be playing at home against Brandon Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Brandon Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate is ranked 96th).
