Volleyball Recap: Perry Meridian Falcons vs. Roncalli Royals

After flying high against Martinsville on Wednesday, Perry Meridian came back down to earth. The Falcons came up short against the Roncalli Royals on Thursday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-15.

Ramlian Thang paced Perry Meridian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Thang got some help from Thomas Cung and his 12 assists.

Roncalli can attribute much of their success to Aiden Hill, who had 13 digs and two assists. Maddox Butler also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Perry Meridian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-5 record this season. As for Roncalli, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Perry Meridian will square off against Zionsville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Roncalli, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Xavier at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
