Volleyball Recap: Ary Guzman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Knightstown over North Decatur

Knightstown and North Decatur squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Knightstown had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost four in a row.

Knightstown's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ary Guzman, who had 26 digs and three assists. Guzman has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton McDaniel, who had 13 digs.

Knightstown's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for North Decatur, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-16.

Knightstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Decatur, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against South Decatur on the 18th.
