Baseball Recap: Sublette Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Sublette's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 1-0 to the Bucklin Red Aces, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Larks have struggled against the Red Aces recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Sublette's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Bucklin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sublette will host Colby on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Larks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bucklin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stanton County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Red Aces' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Trojans have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
