Softball Preview: Verona Wildcats vs. Sun Prairie West Wolves
The Verona Wildcats will take on the Sun Prairie West Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Verona will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Saturday, Verona earned a 7-4 victory over Oconto.
Meanwhile, Sun Prairie West played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Janesville Craig 10-9.
Sun Prairie West got a great performance from Kaelynn Endres as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits.
At the plate, Luciana Moreno was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Olsen, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
