Volleyball Recap: Roxana Takes a Loss

Roxana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Jacksonville Crimsons. The Shells were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crimsons from their previous meeting back in October of 2016.

Josie Brannon paced Roxana's offense, picking up five kills. Brannon got some help from Daisy Daugherty and her 11 assists.

Jacksonville can attribute much of their success to Alyvia Woods, who had ten digs. That's the most digs Woods has posted over her last six matchups.

Roxana's loss dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Jacksonville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roxana will challenge Metro-East Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jacksonville, they will square off against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
