Recap: Ryle Raiders vs. Lexington Catholic Knights
The Ryle Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 27 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Lexington Catholic 62-25 on the road. With Ryle ahead 31-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Ryle was led to victory by Jaelyn Jones and Quinn Eubank. Jones scored 16 points, while Eubank scored 14 points along with five assists and five steals. The game was Jones' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Baker, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Ryle is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Lexington Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Ryle won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Christian Academy-Louisville at 10:45 a.m. on December 23rd. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive. Lexington Catholic and Madisonville-North Hopkins will face off at 12:30 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Madisonville-North Hopkins is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
