Basketball Recap: Hidden Valley Comes Up Short

If Hidden Valley was riding high fresh off their 84-38 takedown of Christiansburg last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hidden Valley Titans took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winfield Generals on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 156th in Virginia, while the Generals are ranked 47th in West Virginia).

Hidden Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Winfield, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Hidden Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Graham at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Graham will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Hidden Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Winfield, they and Martinsville will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
