Football Game Preview: Trigg County Wildcats vs. Mayfield Cardinals

After both having extra time off, the Trigg County Wildcats and the Mayfield Cardinals will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Trigg County has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Mayfield will arrive with four straight wins.

Back in September, Trigg County came up short against Crittenden County and fell 33-24.

Meanwhile, Mayfield got themselves on the board against Caldwell County last Friday, but Caldwell County never followed suit. They really took it to the Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-0 victory. Considering the Cardinals have won six matchups by more than 32 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Trigg County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mayfield, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
