Softball Game Preview: Savanna Rebels vs. Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros

The Savanna Rebels are taking a road trip to face off against the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Savanna has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Savanna's offense. They came up short against Arrowhead Christian on Wednesday, falling 15-0. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rancho Alamitos ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Orange 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Vaqueros sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Rancho Alamitos' victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Savanna, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.

Savanna was able to grind out a solid win over Rancho Alamitos in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
