Garden Spot hasn't had much luck against Manheim Central recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Spartans will head out to face off against the Barons at 7:00 p.m. Manheim Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Garden Spot, who comes in off a win.
Garden Spot gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Reading 11-5. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Caden Simonis tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Ryder Hertzler was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brody Torrance, who went 1-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base.
Garden Spot kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Manheim Central's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Palmyra, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Barons have suffered since March 26th.
Manheim Central also got a good showing from Jordan King, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Manheim Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Book, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Manheim Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Garden Spot, their record now sits at 6-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Garden Spot has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Manheim Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Garden Spot suffered a grim 17-11 defeat to Manheim Central when the teams last played on Tuesday. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
