Softball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Austin's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Stewartville Tigers on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Packers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Kaydence Schaefer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Austin will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Byron at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stewartville, they will square off against Dover-Eyota at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
