Northwest Cabarrus is a perfect 10-0 against East Rowan since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Northwest Cabarrus is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Central Cabarrus just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, East Rowan kept a clean sheet against Concord on Wednesday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Spiders 1-0. East Rowan haven't had any issues with Concord recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Northwest Cabarrus' loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for East Rowan, their win bumped their record up to 3-15-1.

Everything went Northwest Cabarrus' way against East Rowan when the teams last played back in April, as Northwest Cabarrus made off with a 9-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
