Recap: Skyline Eagles vs. Olympus Titans
The Skyline Eagles were the 54-48 winner over the Olympus Titans when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Skyline fell 48-41 to Olympus on Tuesday. Skyline has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Skyline's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe Quinn, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Mia Johnson, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
It was another big night for Joss Baker, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds for Olympus. The team also got some help courtesy of Keily Trabanino, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Olympus, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.
Skyline will be playing in front of their home fans against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Sophie Nielsen and Cami Groberg. As for Olympus, they will head out on the road to take on Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
