Baseball Game Preview: Riverton Silverwolves vs. Cedar Valley Aviators

For the second straight game, Riverton will face off against Cedar Valley. The Silverwolves will be playing at home against the Aviators at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Riverton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Cedar Valley as they made off with a 10-2 win. The Silverwolves have beaten the Aviators the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Aviators has come to flipping the script.

Riverton got a great performance from Rocky Downs as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts Downs has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Cohen Allred was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Bryce Mounteer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Riverton's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Cedar Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-18.
